You’re about to embark on a new website for your business so you reach out to a few web designers and developers. The quotes come in and they all vary greatly. They all have different inclusions, make various claims and are littered with tech-speak. How on earth will you compare them all?
In our opinion, one of the keys to selecting a website designer or developer is to understand their methodology or workflow. The way in which they work on your website project will greatly impact the final result.
You’ve probably heard it said, “those that fail to plan, plan to fail”. That’s absolutely true. When it comes to marketing based websites, it’s usually a process of testing, measuring and tweaking to optimise your results. The leading websites in your industry may have gone through countless iterations to get to where they are right now. For a small business just starting from scratch and going through this process takes a lot of time and resources (money).
We Believe There is a Better Way!
Tony Robins said “Success leaves clues. Go figure out what someone who was successful did, and model it. Improve it, but learn their steps. They have knowledge.“
Our website project workflow is unique as far as we know. It’s built on research and reverse engineering. For those that are willing, we also like to continually review a websites performance so we can improve on it.
We believe, website design projects need to follow a structured process in order to be successful. Each project consists of a set of tasks that are completed in sequence to produce the best possible results.
You may or may not agree with our process and that’s okay. Whoever you choose as your website developer should have their own structured process so make sure it’s a good fit for you. It’s critical there is a defined process in place so you know what to expect and when you can expect it.
This is where our process-based workflow comes into play, it’s based on research and reverse engineering which streamlines the process for our clients.
Project Management Process
There’s a couple of ways a website project is managed. Some website developers will use an online platform you can log into to provide feedback and instruction throughout the course of a project. Others will give you a project manager or a single point of contact who you can talk to directly to ensure the website project runs smoothly. That’s what we’ve opted for.
Uplift 360 won’t make you log into some online platform to lodge tickets or fill in forms to get your project done. We’ve found in web design and development so much comes down to interpretation of the brief so we think it’s important you have a single point of contact who completely understands you and your wishes. We run sophisticated Workflows and standard operating procedures (SOP) however we don’t overwhelm our clients with all that stuff. We take care of it all behind the scenes, getting it all done for you!
We Get it Done for You!
Our structured process, systems and project management are all designed to keep your web design project on track while producing the best possible outcome for you. By taking a research-based approach to website design and development, we can ensure that your new website not only looks great but also functions perfectly for your unique business needs.
We take the time upfront to learn all about you, your customers and your competition so that we can create a website that really stands out from the rest.
Our project workflow includes:
- Functional Website Design (for review/refinement)
- Quality Assurance & Testing
- Post-launch Support (many options available)
We Love Collaboration!
Client collaboration and feedback is valued and encouraged throughout the entire workflow. In fact, we’ll adjust our proposal based on your specific needs since there may be aspects of the project that you want to take care of yourself. We want you to be involved in the website project as much or as little as you prefer. We are confident in our streamlined process to get the job done to your satisfaction. We will work with you every step of the way to make sure you are comfortable with decision and direction made along the way.
To your online success!
